Jacksonville, Florida (November 12, 2015)— The Jacksonville Equestrian Center, home to many horse shows, recreational events, and dog agility competitions, is now adding a hit country music concert to its line up. The Backwoods Country Jam Concert this Saturday, November 14, will feature country music artist and songwriter Lee Brice, along with popular opening artists including Maddie & Tae. The 80-acre Jacksonville Equestrian Center will be the perfect place to enjoy some of the best in country music— at an outdoor stage and in the facility’s enormous covered arena that seats 3,700 individuals.
“We choose the Jacksonville Equestrian Center to accommodate our Lee Brice concert because it is a hidden gem for concerts and events,” said Ann LeFiles, co-owner of Backwoods Country Jam. “The covered arena, great facilities, and ample parking have all the elements we look for in an event space.” The Jacksonville Equestrian Center’s state-of-the-art facility is part of a recreational park composed of miles of trails, outdoor horse show rings, multiple permanent barns, an Olympic-sized indoor pool, a gymnasium, and numerous RV hook up spaces.
Concertgoers can look forward to a full day of country music and other fun events leading up to Lee Brice’s performance. “Backwoods Country Jam is all about the experience!” said LeFiles. “To compliment the music, we have a variety of activities and experiences planned, such as jumbo lawn games, a mechanical bull, bars with TV’s, and a vendor village full of food, drink, and retail businesses.”
A ‘Parking Lot Party’ with entertainment and vendors will begin at 1:00 pm at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center. At 2:00 pm, up-and-coming country artists Amber DeLaCruz, Kirstie Lovelady, and Blaire Hanks will perform on the outdoor stage. Doors to the main stage open at 4:00 pm, where DJ Bobby Laredo, 309C, Jared Ashley, and Cole Taylor will perform. At 8:00 pm, hit country music duo Maddie & Tae will take the stage before Lee Brice enters at 9:30.
“Lee Brice is a great performer who knows how to make everyone in the crowd have a great time,” said LeFiles. Lee Brice, an internationally known country music recording artist and songwriter, won the Country Music Awards ‘Song of the Year’ in 2013 and 2015, and ‘Single of the Year’ in 2014. He is well known as being a truly original songwriter and a sincere performer.
The Jacksonville Equestrian Center is located on the West Side of Jacksonville, close to major highways I-295, US 301, and Interstate 10. Concert tickets are still available and may be purchased on www.backwoodsjam.com.
After this weekend’s concert, the Jacksonville Equestrian Center will remain busy with exciting events throughout the rest of the year, and on into 2016. Over Thanksgiving weekend, the Jacksonville Equestrian Center and Fiddler’s Trailer Sales will partner up to bring top barrel racers to Jacksonville for The Fiddler’s Turkey Run. The competition will be free for spectators. For a complete calendar of events scheduled at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center, visit www.jaxequestriancenter.com.
